Thanks to Jenny over at the Southern Institute for Domestic Arts and Crafts, I tried out a super-fast Superhero cape this weekend. Still needs a little work but it inspires me to make more!!!
(It was hard to get a good shot of my little superhero!)
Yay!!! I love the bolt of lightening. So cute! So let me ask you... do I need to put a warning on my tutorial about supervising your children when they are wearing it? The neck that doesn't come apart... strangle hazard? I think I just answered my own question.
Jenny---I immediately took your suggestion about cutting the neck and adding velcro and I think that is a good solution. If the cape really got yanked on, the velcro would come apart. I think I may take the time and sew the felt pieces down as well. The Wonder-Under just isn't adhering well to the knit. But I love it and can't wait to make more!!!
