Anniversary Idea?

Okay, everyone. My first anniversary is coming up on July 3. The first anniversary is paper so I thought I would do something creative with paper for a gift. But I'm blocked! Anyone have a creative idea for me? Help! I have given him lots of photos already so I need a different kind of gift idea.

This one was tricky - we gave each other books... I've also heard of folks giving plane tickets (kind of obsolete in the e-ticketing age, though). You don't want to collage something for him?
Your picture is gorgeous, by the way.

Thanks Sarah! A collage might be good. I was thinking about that. Especially since the Bits and Pieces swap was so fun!!!

My anniversary is the same day! Except we are celebrating our 2nd this year. I think concert tickets would be fun!

Oh, good idea Katie Jean! I'll have to look and see what is coming up!

Congratulations! And beautiful picture! Were you married in CA?

Concert tickets are a great idea! I was also going to suggest books or a print/poster of some sort.

Your collage is beautiful.

Purl--
Thank you! Yes, we were married at a winery in Sonoma. We had an Italian countryside theme to our wedding. It was fun!

I think tickets to some event would be fun or a special book with a lottery ticket inside. You look gorgeous in your photo! I think you favor Kate Winslet.

Beautiful wedding photo!! You could put all of your "love letters" together from when you were dating ---put a big pink bow---and tickets for dinner and a movie :) I know, I'm a hopeless romantic and make most people sick :) xo

hum... papier mache something? have you ever made paper? you could make him a journal. (this might be too hard if you don't already know how to do it) honestly I love the idea of a papier mache pinata but that's so not romantic... hitting something with a stick!

OK, a serious idea... decoupage. Sarah once did a box for Cap that was all stamps and it was quite lovely and still clearly for a guy.

ps I can't believe its been a year! good thing it was last year not this year as this year I'm in Brussels on 3 July...

HippieDog---I like the love letter idea. I'll have to track them down. And a lot of them would be love e-mails!!!

Vieve--I have never tried papier-mache. Maybe I should! I can't believe it has been a year since I saw you!!!
